Winter
at the lodge is amazing! Aurora Borealis viewing, snow machining, relaxing around the barrel stove, and just getting
away from the hustle and bustle of the world! We have it all.
The
ride in from Cantwell or Paxson is 67 miles! The unplowed Denali Highway is your trail, and it's a great ride in!
We can provide a ride leader with 2 weeks notice if needed, and they will carry any items you may need in case of a breakdown
or weather issues, for $50 per person, round trip. We can also arrange for you to rent snow machines from a local dealer.
We'll get the machines to Cantwell or Paxson for you.
We have 7000
gallons of fuel on hand for sale this year! No more worries about not having fuel when you come see us this year!
We have also nearly finished the second floor suites, and have installed a boiler to heat the entire 3 floors of the lodge.
We also have received our lodge liquor license. Note that we can only
sell alcohol to our overnight registered guests. Many improvements were made from suggestions of our guests
from last winter, and we think everyone will be amazed at the changes!
Please be careful while riding the Denali Highway. This is where many dog mushers
do their training in preparation for the Iditarod. Watch for them, and if you see them, please pull your machine to
the side and shut off the motor. At night you will see a small light the mushers wear on thier heads. Watching
a team go by, with the aurora out, on a clear night is something that has to be seen to be appreciated!
